We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: OSP Planning and Design Technician

Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: IPQ
Status: Outsourced role.
Work Schedule: 8am - 5pm Work days.

Academic Qualifications

• B.Sc or HND Engineering / Computer Science / Information systems.
• Field experience for non- science or Engineering background can be considered.
• Fibre Certifications.

Functional Skills:

• Competent I’m working with geospatial information system Applications- QGIS, ArcGIS, etc.
• Competent is Spreedsheet applications to perform wide ranging analysis- Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprint, drawings, and models.
• Knowledge and experience in programming- Java, python, visualBasic, etc. conversant with regulations, rules and conventions as stipulated by National and local Regulatory Authorities-LASIMRA, FCDA, NCC, etc.

Work Experience:

• 3 years experience in any Fibre outside plant role.
• Experience in outside plant construction processes- sure survey, civil works, Fibre laying, splicing, and troubleshooting.
• Competent in the use of Fibre testing and handling tools-OTDRs, splicing machines, optical power meters, etc
• Adept at translating data from demographic and technical site surveys into planning and design.
• Thorough understanding of Fibre cable technologies and FTTH network architectures.
• Experienced in supervising third party contractor teams through the planning and design life cycle.
