Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic is a tertiary education institution in Zaria Kaduna State, Nigeria. The polytechnic was established on 2nd February, 1989 by the Kaduna state government to provide training and development techniques in the Field of engineering, applied science, commerce and other spheres of learning. The polytechnic is one of the tertiary teaching institutions owned and managed by the Kaduna State government. The polytechnic was named after the then Nigeria's foreign minister Nuhu Bamalli.

Overview

• The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer and is responsible to the Rector for the general administration of the Polytechnic.

Responsibilities

• Functions as Secretary to the Governing Council.
• Functions as Secretary to the Academic Board.
• Functions as Secretary to all statutory committees.
• Responsible for keeping all records of the Institution other than financial and medical.
• Issues all Certificates of the Institution.
• Takes charge of the Registry Division.
• Responsible to the Rector for day to day administration of the Institution.
• Keeps custody of the Polytechnic seal.
• Performs any other functions that the Rector may assign.

Qualifications and Experience
Candidates seeking for the post should:

• Have a good First Degree (minimum of Second Class Honours, Lower Division) preferably in the Arts and Humanities from a recognized Institution and with a minimum of 15 years' cognate experience; as well as a Master's Degree in and a Doctorate Degree in a relevant field.
• Be registered with a recognized professional body.
• Not be more than 55 years old at the time of assumption of office.
• Provide evidence of community service.
• Be proficient in Information and Communication Technology (I.C.T.).

Terms of Appointment

• The appointment is for an initial term of four (4) years, renewable after satisfactory performance once and no more.
• The salary is CONTISS 15.
