ColdHubs Limited is a social enterprise that designs, installs, commissions, and operates 100% solar-powered walk-in cold rooms in marketplaces and farm clusters, for small-holder farmers, retailers, and wholesalers to store and preserve fresh fruits, vegetables, and other perishable food 24/7 and extend their shelf life from 2 days to 21 days. ColdHubs aims to eliminate the impact of food spoilage facing 470 million smallholder farmers globally, due to a lack of reliable and well-situated cold storage at key points, within the food supply chain.

Our solar-powered walk-in cold rooms branded as - ColdHubs; are specially designed to eliminate losses of fruits, vegetables, and other perishable food due to lack of reliable cold storage completely and increase the income of farmers and retailers because previous losses have been eliminated. ColdHubs has been installed in farms, horticultural produce aggregation centers, and outdoor food markets within the south and north regions of Nigeria.

We seek to hire an individual for our technical department in the position below:

Job Title: Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Duct Sheetmetal Fabricator

Location: Owerri, Imo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Design, Read and Interpret engineering HVAC Duct drawings.
• Measure, Mark, and Cut galvanized sheets as per specifications mentioned in the drawing with minimal wastage.
• HVAC Duct Fabrication, Installation, Maintenance, and Repairs.
• Manage any shape and size of the HVAC Duct based on the drawings and specifications given.
• Ensure smooth operations of all the HVAC Duct fabrication equipment, by carrying out integrity checks and controls, daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Maintain a high standard of safety, good morals, integrity, passion, teamwork, and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Education: Ordinary National Diploma (OND); Higher National Diploma (HND) or University Degree in the related field.
• Job experience: 2 years of relevant experience.
• Languages: Excellent knowledge of English and local Languages.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Attention to Detail.
• Excellent organizational skills, as performance monitoring will be done every quarter.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Ability to travel to any part of Nigeria based on the site availability.
• Solid knowledge of organizational procedures.
• Extremely detailed, with a good thought process.
• Self-motivated and trustworthy.

Reports to:

• The DSF’s will report directly to the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) or his delegated staff, always.
