GBC Professional Services - Our client in the Design Industry, is currently recruiting suitable candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Anthony, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure that the financial transactions of the company are accurately captured, classified , and posted with relevant approvals and coding instructions to the account team
• Prepare relevant management accounts on a periodic basis
• Receivable Management
• Payables Management
• Provide detailed analysis and interpretations of the accounts in an easily understandable and informative manner
• Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for clients based on interior schematics and design
• Perform regular reviews of the ledgers and other books of entries and ensure relevant reconciliations
• Institute financial control policies as approved by the management: ensuring that the financial assets of the firm are well safeguarded
• Provide appropriate financial advice to the management that will create value and ensure financial health of the business
• Ensure confidentiality and safe keeping of accounting records & documents.

Education and Experience

• Accounting Degree or equivalent
• ACCA / ACA certification
• Minimumof three to five years ' experience required.
• Betweenthe agesof 28 - 35 years
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Knowledge of applicable tax laws, codes and regulations in the industry
• Working knowledgeand experience of an accounting software I ERP.

Key Competencies:

• Proven working experience as a Chartered Accountant with business acumen
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with preparing financial statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Excellent accounting software use and administrative skills.

Salary
N150,000 - N180,000 monthly.
