Job Title: Plant Manager

Location: Yola, Adamawa
Reports To: CEO / Managing Director

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the development and implementation of strategic and tactical plans for the rice mill plant
• Develop and manage the plant’s operations, budget maintenance, plant inventory and safety measures standards.
• Ensure optimal levels of the production cycle with a major focus on excellent plant uptime, good asset utilization, strong inventory control, superior asset maintenance, robust facilities control, excellent manpower utilization, clear work standards and exceptional plant administration.
• Oversee the establishment of quality control processes and ensure the adherence to control measures
• Review and analyze production data and information to proactively identify production issues in a swift and efficient manner.
• Oversee the installation, efficient operation, and maintenance of the rice milling plant ensuring that the manufacturing and production process delivers the desired order per cycle.
• Lead the production, utility, quality assurance, and procurement team through cost-effective production with low wattage and high-quality standards while ensuring alignment with the company’s financial objectives, growth, and profitability goals.
• Promote the implementation and adherence to health and safety measures that safeguard the workers, customers, and property from environmental and safety hazards.
• Promote the collaboration of key departmental heads to foster co-operation and teamwork across various interrelated faucets within the plant, and to ensure production objectives are achieved in an efficient and strategic manner.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Higher National Diploma in Engineering with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Degree or Lower Division, respectively.
• A Master’s Degree would be an added advantage.
• At least 15 years relevant experience in a Rice Milling Plant with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
• Deep understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points and Good Manufacturing Practices
• Adept in safety procedures for plant operations and activities.
• Good knowledge of industry-specific factory equipment.
• Good verbal skills
• Competent in problem-solving.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and building automation systems.
