DHL Global Forwarding, Freight (DGFF) is the Group's air, ocean and road freight specialist. We offer standardized transport as well as highly specialized end-to-end solutions to customers in a wide range of industries globally.
Currently we are looking for a OFR Operations Manager who will executes General Ledger (GL) account management: Month end close processes; preparation of timely reports; preparation of monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, VAT) reporting and other process. Your Task
Manages and drives performance of a team of Operations Specialists
Processes, handles, distributes all required documents in the receiving area
Ensures customer requirements are met and takes corrective actions in case of deviations from customer requirements
Ensures documents are completed and updated in a timely and efficient manner and according to regulations and internal procedures
Acts as subject matter expert for OFR Operations questions
Interacts with Customer Service, Product, and Global Service Centers, if required
Extensive knowledge of OFR Operations
Fit for people management role (communication, motivation and interpersonal skills) Demonstrates strong communication capabilities Easily capable of making well informed decisions
Organizes, splits and plans day-to-day work of Import/ Export Operations Specialists
Supervises Transactional Operations in the receiving area (delivery arrangement, planning and follow-up of shipment in the receiving area)
Arranges delivery
Ensures handling of required Import documents according to regulations and internal procedures
Follows-up shipment status in the Import area, identifies incidents and ensures resolution of incidents
Supports Customer Service in the incident and exception management resolution
Creates, builds and maintains excellent relationships with key suppliers
Continuously monitors supplier performance and develops improvement plan when required
Identifies training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department
Creates, builds and maintains relationships with other internal functions (e.g. Capacity
Management, OCC, Sales, Customer Service) and acts as subject matter expert for ad hoc operational questions with regards to accounts which are being serviced
Ensures that proper implementation of customer has been conducted before Operations is starting regular business service
Interacts with Customer Service, Product, and Global Service Centers, if required
Support in customer communications and Shipment update
Ensure Operations KPI are met
Requirements
Your profile should look like:
Minimum of a University Degree, Strong analytical skills and good communication skills
Relevant training in clearing, freight forwarding or logistics management
Long-term experience and proven track record in the customs segment
Fit for people management role
Attend KPI meetings along with sales.
Ability to work under pressure
Strong problem-solving mentality
Extensive knowledge of OFR Import Operations
Good administration skills

Proficient decision making skills and commercial experience/capabilities
