Job Title: Mobile Developer

Location: Lagos
Duration: 45 days contract 

Introduction

• We are looking for a skilled mobile developer with prior developing experience to create and maintain mobile applications for Android, iOS, and Windows devices.
• The mobile developer's responsibilities include researching UI and UX trends,  and working with colleagues to brainstorm innovative ideas for our new application, combining UI and UX with insight into the latest technology in cross mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain cross platform mobile applications.
• Keep abreast of the latest technology for mobile applications.
• Create UI tests to source analytics.
• Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support).
• Produce fully functional mobile applications writing clean code.
• Gather specific requirements and suggest solutions.
• Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance.
• Design interfaces to improve user experience.
• Liaise with the Product development team to plan and develop  features.
• Ensure  application meet quality standards.
• Research and suggest strategies to deliver our application.  
• Stay up-to-date with new technology trends.
• Developing new features and user interfaces from wireframe models and Mockups
• Work as part of a small team to build React Native iOS / Android/windows applications.
• Implement pixel perfect UI's that match designs.
• Implement clean, modern, smooth animations and transitions that provide an excellent user experience.
• Integrate third-party API's.
• Release applications to IOS and Google Play stores.
• Assist with building estimates.
• Work with modern tools including Jira, Slack, GitHub, Google Docs, etc.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience working as a mobile developer.
• Proficient knowledge of relevant computer languages for Android, iOS, and Windows devices.
• A portfolio of applications you have created or contributed to.
• Ability to multitask.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of flutter and/or Kotlin
• Work with modern tools including Jira, Slack, GitHub, Google Docs, etc.
• Ability to take extreme ownership over your work. Every day is a challenge to ensure you are performing to the expectations you and your team have agreed upon, both in regards to estimates and to the general process.

• Experience using token-based authentication
• Experience writing clean and readable code
• Experience using maintainable code architectures
• Experience developing using Test-Driven Development
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle
• Experience launching apps to both the Google Playstore and Apple AppStore with best practices and requirements
• Experience implementing payment APIs (Extra points for Paystack or Flutterwave APIs)
• Experience implementing a chat feature in an application.
