Job Title: Conference Project Manager

Location: Lagos

Position Overview

• Wa are looking for a Conference Project Manager to join our team.
• The Project Manager is responsible for all project management activities associated with our conferences and events.
• This position will manage all aspects of conferences and events including marketing strategies, content, design, brand, communications and technology.
• The Project Manager will use their knowledge and experience to manage conference and events logistics to align with the creative marketing vision. 

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and monitor scheduling, and performance of marketing and communications conferences and events 
• Create and ensure adherence to plans and schedules, develops solutions to problems, and helps direct work of stakeholders assigned to a conference and event from various departments 
• Collaborate with the Conference and Events team to improve department-wide project management including leading event kick-off meetings and planning meetings, ensuring adequate coverage on all events, internal resource alignment, schedules and event metrics 
• Partner with Marketing Strategy and other Marketing and Communications teams to ensure there is a cohesive pre-event, on-site, and post-event strategy to increase engagement
• Act as an advisor to the conference and events team regarding projects, tasks, and operations 
• Develop an evaluation method to assess conference and events strengths and identify areas for improvement 
• Create and map out event processes related to documentation, knowledge capture and process improvement

Qualifications

• BA Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management or related discipline 
• Minimum of 5 years experience in managing, and executing projects within the corporate conference and events space 
• Minimum of 5 years+ HR experience
• Experience managing projects from inception to completion including project scoping, planning and managing to timelines and within budget and project oversight
• Strong Microsoft Office and technical skills such as workflow/project management tools, SharePoint, Salesforce, and other data and creative-centric programs 
• Demonstrated track record of successful project management and program management experience 
• Strong leadership and organizational skills, ability to solve problems, deadline driven, and good time management skills 
• Minimal travel of no more than 10%.
