Overview

• The Bartender at Lakowe Lakes Hospitality will be responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic beverages based on customer requests. 

Core Responsibilities and Key Result Areas

• As  Bartender, you will be in charge of managing drink orders at a restaurant, club, or private event to keep customers satisfied during meals or social gatherings.
• Bartenders must have extensive knowledge of common drinks which will recommended to customers, prepare cocktails, pour beers and properly decant wines. 
• Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and patrons
• Assessing bar customers’ needs and preferences and making recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Plan and present bar menu
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Verify identification and age requirements of customers
• Mix traditional and creative cocktails
• Process payment from customers
• Clean glasses and bar utensils
• Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
• Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits
• Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift
• Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere.

Qualifications 

• Must have 2 years experience as a Bartender
• Proven working experience as a Bartender
• Relevant training certificate is a plus
• Previous work in a hotel or hospitality environment is a plus 
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
• Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings
• Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness 
• Ability to enforce policies regarding the consumption of alcohol
• Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments
• Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Computer literacy
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.
