Job Title: Senior Digital Technology Analyst
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Purpose / Objective
Support the process of providing novel technical solutions that meet user needs and improve business performance by assisting with the technical analysis of business requirements, problem solving and troubleshooting as part of a larger project team. Accountable for ensuring that clear, concise requirements have been captured.
Provide support in developing business cases, budgeting, and department planning activities.
Main Accountabilities
Support identification of innovative solutions, matching solutions with business needs and proactively identifying capability gaps and proposing potential solutions.
Supporting the strategic planning process. Periodically, you provide data-driven analyses on strategic topics, actively engaging with colleagues across the company to convert insights to actions, and develop and executive presentation materials that define growth plans
Support in definition and operational running of the digital strategy unit; e.g. performance reporting, budgeting, and department’s planning.
Develop Prove of Concepts (PoC) proposals, requirements management plans; including elicitation, approvals, processes, Risks Assumptions Issues Dependencies and scope impacts;
Shapes and define the business case, producing detailed business justification for investment including return on investment and benefits realization.
Expand on existing and deliver new innovative technologies (e.g. industry 4.0) that drive insights and empower data-driven decision-making.
Identify, prototype, and develop novel process/equipment-focused solutions that enable asset health and asset performance.
Identify Industry technologies (e.g. Industry 4.0) trends and analyze vendors
Drive the definition, selection, design, and development of intelligent control solutions and cognitive solutions for the optimization of machines and processes.
Job Requirements
Education:
A University Degree in Computer Sciences or Physical Sciences or Engineering; professional qualifications will be an advantage.
Experience:
5 to 7 years post-graduation experience, out of which 3 years should be a similar role within the IT department or Digital function or R&D function of a reputable organization preferably Oil & Gas company.
Competency Requirements:
Highly skilled in SQL programming in T-SQL building stored procedures and jobs
Strong functional understanding of Azure Machine Learning
Ability to manage large volume data integration/ETL; experience with SQL Server Integration
Services (SSIS) including ability to configure SQL Server agent
Expertise in identifying and mapping data elements across multiple systems
Knowledge of Power BI report visualizations, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), Power Query (M), and Power BI data modeling
Strong understanding of data integration, quality and validation
Strong understanding of MDM, Data Warehouse/Data mart and relational database design
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to interact with multiple IT teams and business partners both formally and informally
Effective time management, ability to multi-task with changing priorities while continuing to provide exceptional client service
Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment (tools and processes).
