Job Title: Store Officer

Job Summary
The Store Officer supports the coordination of store activities daily; Creates schedules, monitor stock levels at the warehouse and knows when to replenish stock.
He/She is focused on time, making sure every item of stock gets to its destination on time, and that there are no shortages on shelves.
The Store Officer will provide technical support to Store operations.
Ensures the safe reception, storage, distribution and reporting of movements within the store.
Works closely with the logistics team & is involved in the planning of stock movements.
Ensures standard store documents are filled in correctly and handed over in a timely manner.
Primary Responsibilities
Attend to internal and external customer requests for stock items promptly.
Process stock requisitions and issue stock items.
Liaise with logistics for dispatch as required.
Support to create and maintain budgets, and coordinate with and report to senior management.
Receive, unpack, check and allocate purchased stock items into store.
Attend to discrepancies where necessary.
Maintain order and cleanliness of the store and assist with disposal of damaged and/or obsolete items.
Ensure items are used or issued out before they become obsolete.
Advise on and provide adequate protection against loss or damage of stock.
Dispatch rejects and damaged items back to vendors / suppliers as appropriate and timely.
Maintain inventory management systems and process issues and returns.
Participate in cyclic and annual stock takes and perform random stock checks as required.
Complete store administration and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Issue waybills for materials leaving the company premises and GRNs for incoming materials.
Ensure shelves and racks are properly stocked and products do not fall off the shelves.
Ensure stocks/consumables are kept at the right place for ease of retrieval.
Confer and coordinate activities with other departments promptly and cordially.
Maintain stock item records, document necessary information and utilize reports to project stock status.
Enforce operating instructions and safety policies.
Any other task assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications / Skills Required
B.Sc. / HND in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or Finance.
3+ years of demonstrable experience in store / warehouse.
Excellent verbal communication and team working skills.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to keep accurate records.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and software used to maintain inventory.
Demonstrate commitment to safety.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively with other departments.
Able to take initiative and bring new ideas to the company.
Exhibit passion and excitement over work. Has a can-do attitude.
Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions.
Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is a MUST.
