Job Description
The SEO and UI / UX Specialist will be responsible for managing all SEO and SEM activities such as content strategy, link building, keyword strategy and Google Search campaigns to increase rankings on Google Search and drive quality traffic to websites in order to maximize ROI.
They will also be responsible for creating and iterating end to end user experiences.
Responsibilities
Execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
Manage campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies.
Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing
Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
Research and analyze competitor advertising links
Develop and implement link building strategy
Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code
Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming
Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
Academic Qualification and Experience
B.Sc / MSc degree in Statistics or any a Data / Quantitative, test-driven field
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
Proven SEO experience
5+ years combined experience working in SEO and UI/UX
Experience working with SEO tools including Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog
Experience with and/or understanding of code (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Proficiency at Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)
Proficiency at prototyping tools such as Sketch, InVision, etc.
Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Good understanding of SEO best practices
Passion for SEO and internet marketing
Ability to create, justify, communicate and implement SEO strategies across teams and external client’s websites
Data-driven and analytical mindset
Attention to detail
Project management skills
Experience with and/or understanding of other marketing channels (e.g. PPC)
Experience working with popular CMS’ (e.g., WordPress)
Experience with technical SEO
Excellent writing skills
Proven SEM experience managing PPC campaigns on Google
Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, SEMrush)
Experience with bid management tools
Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
Ability to create user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, and user feedback
Proficiency in creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes and mockups
Ability to translate requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns and attractive user interfaces
Experience designing UI elements such as input controls, navigational components and informational components
Experience creating original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
Ability to identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
Ability to collaborate effectively with product, engineering, and management teams
Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM.
