Tomato Jos is a private equity-backed, fast-growing social enterprise located in Kaduna, Nigeria, that believes in the power of local production for local consumption. Our company aims to supply 10% of the processed tomato market in Nigeria within the next 5 years, sourcing tomatoes from smallholder farmers within our network and making high-quality branded consumer products for Nigeria and West Africa. We currently work with farmers in the Kaduna area, and we are building a tomato processing facility that will be commissioned in early 2021, which will enable us to make value-add tomato products, including tomato paste and Tomato mix.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Sales Supervisor
Location: Zaria, Kaduna
Responsibilities
Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
Managing objectives setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales representatives
Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
Present sales, revenue, and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
Deliver presentations from time to time and demonstrate products to customers.
Provide a daily recap of results and accomplishments to the regional manager.
Work with the sales manager in negotiating prices and terms and prepare sales agreements
Coordinate sales team by managing schedules, filing important documents, and communicating relevant information
Respond to complaints from customers and give after-sales support when requested
Store and sort financial and non-financial data and present reports to the regional sales manager
Handle the processing of all orders from distributors with accuracy and timeliness
Monitor the team’s progress, identify shortcomings and propose improvements
Assist in the preparation and organizing of promotional material or events
Ensure adherence to laws and policies of the contract from the distributor
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required
HND / Degree in Business Administration or any related field
Ability to work in an extremely high-pressure high accountability environment.
Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
Strong business sense and industry expertise
Ability to speak Hausa fluently

Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated by the ability to develop and maintain relationships with other team members
Proven result in driving sales process from plan to close
Ability to meet and/or exceed sales target
Previous experience selling FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) products in a similar company

Ability to Commit to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively to costumers
Knowledge of distributor Stock Management

Good interpersonal and effective communication skills.
Stamina to work round the clock during the peak of the project.
