The Sickbay Clinics was established in 2021. The Sickbay Clinic is a state-of-the-art healthcare centre focused on providing both real-time and virtual clinical services with a system that helps in ensuring easy to access healthcare facilities and on-site healthcare professionals. The facility provides its services to patients during weekdays and weekends. The Centre is also open to patients for a 24-hour period for emergencies. The Sickbay Clinic is located in Abuja. Our services and facilities span several specialities and include emergency/trauma centre, diagnostic centre, paediatric primary care and several other facilities that make for a modern multi-speciality hospital.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Facility Assistant

Job Summary

• The Facility Assistant would be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, sustenance and security of all facilities within the organization.

Job Description

• The Facility Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, sustenance and security of all facilities within the organization.
• He/She will also be responsible for assisting in organizing, controlling and coordinating the operational, management of all buildings and machinery assets within the organization to create a safe and productive work environment for users.

Responsibilities

• Manage building and equipment maintenances schedules
• Assisting in Operations Management
• Test building security systems and prepare for emergencies by creating action plans.
• Involve in planning for the future building space and supply needs of an organization
• Conduct regular walk-around inspection of the entire building and assets.
• Communicate daily with user departments and update Facility Lead regularly.
• Schedule preventive maintenance, respond to urgent maintenance calls and participate in the creation of emergency preparedness plans.
• Monitors and tracks required regulatory and environmental permits.
• Ensure inventory and tracking of items used within the maintenance team.
• Ensure tracking of jobs and close-out
• Work in an administrative assistant capacity and maintenance coordination.
• Grounds Keeping & Health and Safety
• Ensure that all buildings within the premises meet government regulations on health and safety, fire hazard and other regulatory compliance requirements
• Coordinate and oversee the cleaning of the facilities within the organization's premises.
• Coordinate the catering and car parking facilities within the organization's premises

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum academic qualification of a BSc Degree in Facility Management, Building Technology, Building Services Engineering, Project Management or any related discipline.
• Applicants should have at least 2 years of relevant work experience preferably in the Health sector.
• Candidates must possess NYSC discharge Certificate or Exemption letter
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and people management skills
• Excellent problem analysis and solving problem management skills.

Special Conditions

• Employment is contingent on passing a medical screening conducted by the hospital
• Employee will be subject to various testing including but not limited to drug and
• medical testing throughout the tenure of their employment
• Knowledge of workflow processes.
