We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Programme Officer, South West Zone
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Area of Coverage: Ekiti, Kwara, Kogi, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Oyo.
The Main Purpose of the Job
To implement activities of CRUDAN at the zonal level and make CRUDAN visible to the church and other institutions, organizations-governmental and non-governmental, as well as adequately representing the CEO.
The job holder will be responsible for developing and building the capacity of Member Organizations and Individuals within the zone.
The job holder will also be required to support M & E roles within the CRUDAN portfolio and will coordinate the documentation, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and learning of all activities and reporting of same.
The job holder will be required to work with the Zonal Committee to ensure regular meetings are held and decisions that will move the zone forward are taken
Duties and Key Responsibilities
Planning and design:
Attends Management meetings, contributes to decision-making,
Assesses and analyses the training needs of Member Organisations and individual members by way of making visitations to such members within the zone.
Assists in building the capacity of Member Organisations through Counselling, Evaluations, Strategic Planning process, and the Organisational Development Process
Ensures that a Zonal Committee is formed of which he/she is a member and is active
Attends zonal committee meetings, and contributes to decision-making
Programme Implementation:
Organises organisational and Zonal trainings and workshops, ensuring that physical arrangement, contacting resource persons, making training materials available, canvassing for participants, and setting up planning committees where necessary
Invites participants to national programmes when necessary
Judiciously manages funds (income and expenditure) and presents proper account of same to the Zonal Committee and Congress
Networking:
Links up Member Organisations and individuals for the purpose of networking
Organises Zonal tours/visits to Member Organisations
Visits Churches, and other Non-Governmental Organisations who are not members with the view of making them CRUDAN members
Ensures that the Zonal Office is maintained and that facilities are functional
Liaises with Development and Training institutions, Research Institutions, Universities, Government Ministries, Departments, Agencies and other NGOs within the zone for the exchange of information, ideas, and experiences
Contributes to writing of articles for the newsletter
Documentation:
Ensures that comprehensive reports of all trainings, workshops, and seminars are written in good time and forwarded to the Director of Programmes.
Submits monthly reports of activities to the Executive Director through the Director of Programmes
Reporting & Reviews and Evaluations:
Compiles overall progress reports on the zonal activities
Reviews and report feedbacks, reviews and coordination meetings and reports in line with CRUDAN standard guidelines and reporting tools
Provides relevant updates and feedback to the Executive Director
Person Specification
Education / Qualifications:
Essential:
Educated to Degree Level or equivalent in Social Sciences or any of the Humanities
Desirable:
Educated to Master's Degree
Specialised in social/rural development or management studies.
Financial Management qualification
Experience:
Essential:
Proven experience in community development work and trained facilitator
Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
Proven capacity building experience especially for churches and church leaders
Strong skills in church and community mobilisation and training
Proven experience in running church and community development programmes
Proven experience in:
Working with church leadership and church development programmes
People management
Project implementation
Proven experience in - community & church mobilisation
Experience in church network coordination and mobilising leaders for corporate activities
Ability to Develop proposals to donors and management projects
Ability to integrate church programming and development.
Desirable:
Project Management experience
Experience with local/Christian/church- based NGOs
Development work with Christian and/or International NGO

27 – 35 years
