Our client is seeking a creative, organized and passionate Assistant Brand Manager to help growing brand in line with Organization expectations.
This role reports to either a Senior Brand Manager or directly to a Category Manager as the case may be.
Purpose of Role
This role supports and drives the development of a large Tactical Brand, a medium Strategic brand, or a small tactical Portfolio.
Supporting the planning, implementation, control and co-ordination of the Equity driving and Market Share-gaining programs designed to sustain the assigned Brand as a veritable asset delivering outstanding value to all consumer and stake holders, aligned to Portfolio Strategy.
Support coordinating the implementation of brand communication sponsorship and events plans and strategies that will enhance the Equity Scores, Sales Performance and Profitability of the Brand in line with Company’s overall profit and portfolio objectives.
Responsibilities
Take full Ownership of a brand (Under guidance from BM/SBM), coordinating and influencing a cross-department team to ensure brands plan execution, reporting and tracking
Generate reliable market information to assist BM/SBM in taking pricing decision, extension of pack size options, product re-packaging and re-launch
The incumbent champions & drives brand growth in volume and equity by tracking the brand performance and trend to advise the Sr. Brand Manager appropriately.
The job holder also assists in developing and seamless execution of Brand plans both short and long term.
The incumbent must be conversant with consumer marketing data, have timely information and credible insight to issues pertaining to the brand. He or She must be constantly in-tune with the market.
He or she must play a key role in the implementation of the relevant brand activities/promotions or events. (Assist in delivering Measurement and Evaluation for promotional activities.)
Participate in the agency meeting, in line with requirement from BM/SBM/GMM/MKD.
He or she must be enterprising and resourceful in project and task management.
The incumbent is expected to monitor stock levels of finished goods and raw material inputs for target achievement, ensuring proper cross data analysis and data interpretation as well as any other brand collateral issues.
Consistently undertake Retail and Market visits to identify opportunities to strengthen brand development and positioning.
Qualifications and Competencies Required
NYSC / Degree (Marketing certification course will be a plus).
At least 3 years' experience within Brand Marketing (FMCG preferred)
Developed interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Self-motivated, curiosity and a data-driven, strategic mindset ability to work under pressure and drive business success
Excellent analytical and research skills are essential as well as a structured way of working
Ability to work in a culturally diverse population
Good Microsoft Office Skills.

Strong understanding of product marketing and good experience in managing the marketing of a product and liaising within teams and external agencies ATL/BTL
Timely execution of assigned duties
Collate and analyze quarterly reports of brands and competition.
Ensure effective implementation of brands activities in line with the approved briefs.
Actual sales to plan achievement of Brands by Pack size by the area.
Competitive activity report regionally and pan Nigeria.
Preparation of monthly deployment of POS/TS materials stock position.
