About the Role
The Senior Program Officer (SPO) is an exciting and critical position within CLEEN Foundation.
The successful candidate will bring energy, creativity and high level project management skills to the implementation of a variety of key projects that help create change and build knowledge and partnerships around our key thematic focus areas which are Public Safety & Security, Accountability & Justice, Research and Strategy Development & International Programs.
About the Prospective Applicant
We are looking for an experienced and committed individual who has demonstrable experience in project development management and fundraising. Prospective applicant should understand the dynamics f development programs, while also feeling confident in engaging with our national and International development partners.
Successful applicant will showcase strong understanding of key concepts issues and thinking in public safety, security anti criminal justice reform in Nigeria and West Africa in particular.
Proven experience in proposal writing, fundraising, project implementation and project monitoring and evaluation.
Proven experience in building and managing relationships with government agencies, donor partners, media and civil society organizations
Showcase leadership and interpersonal skills, and ability to build strong relationships and work across different departments, appreciating the diversity of cultures, wont styles and perspective.
Specific Job Description
The successful candidate will report tothe Program Manager and carry out assigned tasks in project development, fundraising, project Implementation and evaluation in accordance with the following job descriptions:
Contribute to the realization of program goals of the organization as outlined in the strategic plan and directed by the Executive Director or any of his/her designate.
Play a lead role in the development of program concept notes and proposals for funding; and work closely with Finance and Admin department on the budget.
Monitor the implementation process of various programs of the Foundation, to ensure the realization of program goals and outcomes,
Prepare periodic status report of program activities; and narrative reports for submission to funders.
Maintain and improve relationship with project partners on projects he/she is leading on and ensure reporting obligations are carried out in a timely and professional manner.
Coordinate affective monitoring and evaluation of projects assigned him/her including development of measurement indicators, tracking of results arid impact.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum of a Master’s Degree in of Social Sciences or the Humanities with five (5) years program off car level experience in a non-profit or related field.
First degree in law with 3-5 years experience in a non-profit. is Experience working around security sector and criminal justice reform programming Is desirable.
Membership of a reputable professional body
Demonstrable team-oriented personality and leadership skills.
Proven project development, fundraising and project implementation skills.
