Job Summary

• Our Parent Company is recruiting to fill the position of Marketing and Communications Lead to serve all her subsidiaries.

Job Description / Responsibilities

• To increase the reach, knowledge and impact of each of our subsidiaries' products and visibility through the delivery of high value and influential marketing, communications and PR in Nigeria, Africa and the world at Large, thereby significantly contributing to the development of new partnerships, customers and investment opportunities.
• To achieve this you will work with the Creative teams, developing and implementing a marketing and communications strategy across a range of reactive and strategically planned opportunities in print, media, events and online.
• Serve as presenter and host for all subsidiaries' media programmes such as reality shows, vox pop, video skits, documentaries, product demonstration, trainings, event coverage and representation.
• You will manage a small communications team across multiple programmes and locations, motivating and supporting company affiliate and staff to deliver high quality work and will have an active role in implementing marketing and communication activities, particularly around direct marketing and support to our group of companies.
• This role require a lot of travel and outdoor engagement, video shooting, pitching, enligthenment and training stakeholders
• This role is full-time, based in our Nigeria Office.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant course.
• A strategic and creative thinker with proven experience of working on diverse and wide ranging communication strategies in all forms of media
• Candidates should have at least 5 years relevant work experience as a Showbiz Presenter, Communications Strategist, Broadcast Journalist, or Public Relations Manager.
• Candidates must be technologically savvy and have sound judgment to drive communications initiatives, with excellent skills in networking, and relationship-building.
• Candidates must be able to propel Afrihood's image through consistent messaging and strategy as well as develop internal and external communications and marketing strategies.
• Candidate must be good looking but rugged as they would be outdoor most of the times.
• Candidates have to be highly resourceful, creative and able to curate stories around global affairs and trends especially in the fields of Real Estate, FMCG, Finance, and Technology
• They must be able to swiftly navigate between being corporate-smart and being street-smart.
• Candidates should possess exceptional oratory skills.
• They must be good and charismatic training facilitators.
