Job Title: Laboratory Logistics Lead

Position Summary
Liaise with CDC, the GON, and other partners in the management of laboratory diagnostic commodities.
S/he shall regularly conduct analysis of lab logistics data and provide recommendations in the efficient use of resources.
The office holder shall work with CDC in collecting appropriate laboratory costing data that will guide future resource mobilization for Laboratory related activities.
S/he shall regularly conduct analysis of lab equipment use and provide recommendations on the more efficient use of new and existing lab technologies.
Collaborate with National Laboratory Technical Working Group to provide technical assistance in the development of protocols and guidelines to ensure the implementation of harmonized equipment list.
Major Responsibilities
Lead partners in forecasting and quantification of laboratory commodities, including HIV test kits
Oversee the management of stakeholder’s inventory of Laboratory products and commodities
Provide technical assistance to partners and stakeholders in the development and reviews of guidelines for the efficient management of Laboratory commodities
Support and regularly provide guidance in the collection of laboratory, TB and other priority disease logistics data using appropriate national logistics tools to inform resupplies, quantification, funding and procurement decisions.
Provide technical support to the Government and partners on product specifications and selection to inform quantification and procurement of laboratory commodities.
Provide technical assistance to the Government and partner teams to establish/update the standardized list of laboratory commodities and equipment for each level of the tiered health systems.
Regularly ensure the process of post-market validation of rapid test kits for HIV, TB, Malaria, COVID-19 and other priority diseases as well as other diagnostics products as appropriate, based on the guidance of the national programs and USG team.
Contribute to identifying best practices and success stories for documentation and dissemination. Respond to lab queries from the Ministry of Health and laboratory stakeholders.
Requirments
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science. Master's Degree in Logistics as well as Certifications in supply chain management will be an added advantage.
Experience, Skills, and Minimum Qualifications:
Biomedical sciences degree with three (3) to five (5) years of work experience
Experience with HIV test kits and other laboratory logistics systems (i.e. microbiology reagents, histology reagents, general reagents, and consumables) strongly preferred
Experience working with HIV/AIDS-related diagnosis instruments
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other programs
Experience with databases
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Proficient English (written and spoken) required
Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and versatility.
