Job Title: Senior Solutions Architect

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

• Our company creates some of the world’s most cutting-edge software products, and we want you to be a part of our team.
• We are currently in search of an experienced Solutions Architecture to build, manage and maintain the architecture for both in-house and client applications.
• The successful candidate will work with a cross-functional software development team and product team to develop detailed architectural documents for our new and existing applications, and offer excellent technical support.

Responsibilities

• Assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.
• Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates.
• Work closely with the relevant teams within the company to ensure specifications are implemented accordingly.
• Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions
• Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed.
• Informing various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented.
• Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices have.
• Providing updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets.

Education

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering / Development or any other related discipline.
• An AWS certification is desired but is not mandatory for this role.

Required Skills:

• A solid knowledge of the AWS ecosytem and the well-architected framework.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience of building the architecture for software applications that scale and are cost effective in a cloud environment. Proven experience with migrating applications to the cloud is an added advantage.
• Extensive knowledge and experience working with operating systems
• Experience in software engineering and design architecture
• Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures.
• An excellent understanding of serverless applications and how they can enhance business processes.
