Job Title: Software Product Manager

Location: Lagos (Remote)

Job Description

• This role will be in charge of ensuring their teams complete all projects on time and within budget.
• They will prevent scope creep while also managing individual tasks for their respective teams with keen attention to detail to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
• They will take control of client-facing communication and be responsible for realizing project goals and objectives.
• The job role is a remote role but the candidate is expected to be resident in Lagos and available for physical meetings occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Discussing potential projects and their parameters with clients, and software developers.
• Planning out the blueprints for software projects, including defining the scope, allocating resources, setting deadlines, laying out communication strategies, and indicating tests and maintenance.
• Handling pre-sales activities including communication, analysis, documentation handling, and agreements signing to be sent and received from clients
• Take charge of coordinating and developing winning proposals and bids for the company
• Assembling and leading the project Scrum team.
• Break down project requirements into user stories and feature specifications
• Set up project backlog on project boards
• Plan and manage product releases against allocated timelines using
• Manage project delivery using Scrum methodology including sprint planning, daily
• stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, and reviews
• Direct on product designs and feature workflows by providing sketches and flowcharts to further assist software engineers and product designers in understanding tasks
• Lead / collaborate with the development team to successful implementation and delivery on projects
• Be in constant communication with team members to track their progress and determine any challenges they might be facing.
• Manage project communications and be the liaison between the company and clients, providing relevant information where necessary, and making formal and informal status updates to all stakeholders
• Coordinate and oversee the testing of applications/features developed by software engineers on projects
• Coordinate and champion the development and continuous update of user manuals / documentation for all work done by the team
• Ensure client expectations are met with respect to project objectives
• Manage the collection of client feedback at end of projects using Google forms
• Provide detailed and well-rounded reports on project progress during and after the project execution
• Coordinate the development of lesson learned reports with other members of the team

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 2 - 5 years of experience in a project management and/or software development role.
• Good working knowledge of project estimation techniques.
• Good working knowledge of project management techniques
• Great ability with system, process and workflow designs
• Excellent writing and speaking skills
• Ability to create and deliver great presentations internally and to clients
• Ability to use sketching and/or product design tools (e.g. Figma, Canva) is an advantage
• Good technical knowledge.
• Good leadership, decision-making, and organization skills
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Goal-oriented and self-motivated.

Advantage:

• Good understanding or certification in Scrum is a distinct advantage
• PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus
• Software development background is a distinct advantage.

Salary
N100,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
