Businesses of all sizes in Africa use our platform to retrieve account details, transactions and move money, reliably and securely, including Carbon, Renmoney, Inflow Finance, Tangerine Insurance, and many others.

In almost a year, we've introduced a steady cadence of innovations, such as statement pages, a no-code tool to retrieve bank statements, and much more. We've connected to 10% of all active bank accounts in Nigeria, and our investors include YCombinator, Entree Capital, and others.

Description

• We are looking for a product owner who is excited about shipping delightful products and can level up with our pace of innovation. • You will work closely with the Lead Product Manager to gather feature requests, schedule releases, coordinate sprints, manage and prioritise product backlogs while following agile best practices.

Requirements

• Ensure proper product documentation (Market requirement Documents, Product Requirement Documents, User guides, manuals, Process flows, etc).
• Develop and document process flows, clear user stories and acceptance criteria for agreed product features/deliverables for bug fixes, new features and Improvement.
• You should be able to identify user needs, help a customer understand a business value and work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases.
• Set, prioritize, and accept the work generated by a team in order to ensure the most valuable and proper functionality of the product.
• Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation.
• Work with internal and external customers to analyze the needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals.
• Develop scope and define backlog items (epics/features/user stories) that guide the Agile software development team.
• Solve product-related problems, make decisions, complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product.
• Develop appropriately detailed specifications for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development teams.

You'll thrive as a Product Owner if you:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Extensive experience in using tools like (Jira, Asana and Whimsical )
• Familiarity with API’s, programming languages, and databases is a plus
• Proven work experience as a project manager, product owner, scrum master or related field
• Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job
• Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
