In almost a year, we've introduced a steady cadence of innovations, such as statement pages, a no-code tool to retrieve bank statements, and much more. We've connected to 10% of all active bank accounts in Nigeria, and our investors include YCombinator, Entree Capital, and others.

Description

• We are looking for a Data Scientist to analyze large amounts of raw information and find patterns that will help improve Mono's business. We will rely on you to build data products to extract valuable business insights.
• You will utilize your analytical, statistical, and programming skills to interpret data sets; And this information will in turn be used to develop data-driven solutions to our business challenges.
• The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. You must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations.

Requirements

• Building, maintaining and monitoring machine learning models, infrastructure, ETL pipeline and extracting useful insight from customer data to enable decision making in further building.
• Ability to mine vast amounts of data for useful insights and communicate findings.

• Using insights to influence how we approach business challenges.
• Use a combined knowledge of IT and applications, modelling, statistics, analytics and maths to solve problems.
• Extract data from multiple sources.
• Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.
• Sift and analyse data from multiple angles, looking for trends that highlight problems or opportunities.
• Analysing data for trends and patterns and to find answers to specific questions.
• Develop, implement and maintain databases.
• Create visualisations of data.

We are looking for someone who has:

• An extensive experience working with python and software engineering fundamentals.
• A deep understanding of machine learning models and scaling ETL pipelines.
• A track record of delivering actual machine learning products.
• Demonstrated ability to translate analytical insights into clear recommendations and effectively communicate them to the technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A strong sense of ownership, product intuition and excitement to work with rapid iteration.
