Job Description

• We have a vacancy in our team for a janitor to work across a number of buildings. You will perform a variety of maintenance and cleaning tasks to keep the buildings looking perfect.
• The Janitor or Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a cleanly facility by completing a variety of cleaning tasks.
• Their duties include sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors, cleaning surfaces with disinfectant and emptying trash cans or recycling bins.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows and walls
• Sweep, mop, scrub and vacuum building floors
• Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools, phones etc
• Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed
• Maintain outdoor grounds etc
• Collect, empty trash and recycling bin.
• Maintain cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected.
• Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance.

Skills and Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE qualification
• Experience: At least 2 years’ experience
• Good communication, written & organization skills
• Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them
• Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces
• Knowledge of safety guidelines
• Excellent time-management skills
• Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
• Must be a team player.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• A sense of hospitality & integrity.
• Male & Female.
