Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Manager

Job Summary

• The ideal role holder will be responsible for managing all installations, repair and upkeep operations of the company’s facilities including maintaining machinery, planning repair activities, and developing maintenance procedures.
• The position holder will oversee the duties of the Electrical team. This will include leading, hiring, co-ordinating, motivating and training team members to meet the required performance standards.

Job Description

• Oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including emergency or incident response
• Define and implement safety standards meeting regulations for electrical wiring
• Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
• Plan and manage all repair and installation activities
• Ensure all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
• Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates
• Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs
• Oversee equipment stock and place orders for new supplies when necessary
• Track expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance
• Troubleshoot equipment problems in a timely manner to avoid delays and standby time
• Provide technical advice, support and guidance to Electrical staff and escalating issues when necessary.
• Undertake quality assessments and providing instructions to rectify any snagging, defects and/or uncompleted works.
• Assist with training and development of electrical staff
• Test electrical systems with oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and ohmmeters.
• Conduct maintenance repairs on old or faulty electrical fixtures.
• Implement energy-efficient schedules and technologies, including green lighting systems
• Collaborate with service providers to implement service systems

Person Specification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical engineering, Facility Management or a related field.
• Candidates who reside around Mowe would be highly preferred.
• 2-5 years experience as an Electrical Maintenance Manager or similar role preferably in a Recreational Centre
• Strong knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
• Demonstrated experience in supply management, including inventory control and procurement is required
• Demonstrably high level of technical understanding
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
