We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Central Accountant

Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Purpose of the Job

• Support the development and implementation of finance and accounts initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

• Developing and managing financial systems/policies by negotiating and obtaining finance for major projects.
• Performing financial recordkeeping, as well as protecting sensitive and confidential information.
• Completing analysis of expenditures and allocating same to each centre
• Preparing reports and budgets
• Generating the Head office’s financial reports using income and expenditure data
• Reconciling the Head Office’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
• Keeping a check on the Head Office’s finances based on financial status
• Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
• Initiating and managing financial and accounting software.
• Create stock issue journal and maintain stock sheet for course wares received.
• Post bank charges at the End of month using bank statement for reconciliation purpose.
• Keeping informed of regulatory requirements and best practices in management and financial accounting.

Job Requirements
Education:

• B.Sc in Accounting or any other relevant field.
• AAT / ICAN Certifications is an added advantage

Experience:

• At least 2 years relevant work experience.
• Proven experience as an Account officer
• Candidate must have knowledge in recording transactions using accounting software
• Must have the ability to follow up on service providers and ensure that a company’s invoices and payments match up correctly.
• Bank Reconciliation process.
• At least two-years experience

Salary
N70,000 - N80,000 Monthly.
