The City of Light Church - We are a non denominational youthful church. Our Vision is to make ready a prepared people for the lord. To demonstrate christ love and raise leaders in lie and ministry. Our goal is to teach and propagate the teachings of the Gospel as a city set on a hill, that can not be hid.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Secretary

Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

• A church secretary offers clerical support to pastors and deacons in a church’s administrative offices.
• The job description of a church secretary requires a strong attention to detail, the capability to communicate well with members, and an ability to stay organized.

Major Responsibilities

• Welcomes visitors, addresses questions, and assists them with any problems Answers phone calls in the church office.
• Completes clerical tasks as necessary, including typing, filing, and copying.
• Refers visitors and parishioners to pastors or other administrators when necessary.
• Creates updates and helps distribute church event calendar.
• Maintains all church records, such as correspondence, information regarding baptisms and marriages.
• Schedules meetings for church office employees.

Job Skills and Requirements

• Demonstrates the ability to communicate information clearly and effectively to members and visitors.
• Exhibits strong organizational skills.
• Pays close attention to detail.
• Proficient in publishing, word processing, and financial computer software, including Microsoft Suite, WordPress, and Adobe
• Must be willing to become a member of The City of Light Church.

Work Condition

• The Church Office operates Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00am to 5:00pm with one-hour break within.
• Successful candidate is entitled to Five (5) working days off and one month leave after completing Three (3) months’ probation period.
