Our goal is to teach and propagate the teachings of the Gospel as a city set on a hill, that can not be hid.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Public Relations Officer

Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

• This involves using all forms of media and communication to build, maintain and manage the reputation of the church.

Major Responsibilities

• Create and oversee all aspects of communication, including printed materials, digital elements, email, website, social media, texting, and service/event promotion
• Research, write and distribute press releases to targeted media
• Ensure TCOLC’s online presence fulfills ministry goals of reaching online users with key information that is both timely and within the church’s core values
• Write and edit in-house speeches, articles and reports
• Prepare and supervise the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programs, liaising with graphics designer and directorate of media
• Strategize ways for TCoLC to expand the ministries digital reach

Job Skills and Requirements

• Candidates should possess an HND qualification with a minimum of 1 year work experience.
• Exceptional written and conversational communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong understanding of and experience with design, copy, social media, and web best practices
• Familiarity with editing software’s and Microsoft suite
• Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task simultaneously with high quality results
• Develop PR campaigns and media relations strategies
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills especially before an event
• Has a creative mind and ability to think outside the box
• Works well with a team and independently
• Must be willing to become a member of The City of Light Church.

Work Condition

• The Church Office operates Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00am to 5:00pm with one-hour break within.
• Successful candidate is entitled to Five (5) working days off and one month leave after completing Three (3) months’ probation period.
