We are currently seeking motivated and excellence-driven candidates with extensive experience in design to join our engineering team in the position below:

Job Title: Principal Process Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Job Purpose

• Completeing Process discipline scope of work of the assigned project

Main Functions

• Coordinate with the head of the department in the determination of project manpower, timelines and budgets
• Execute process tasks within budget and schedule by leading a team of process engineers and drafters
• Review and recommend improvements to existing process engineering principles
• Participate in meetings with the client and project team to establish project deliverables and to coordinate and resolve design problems
• Responsible for quality and integrity of the process design deliverables
• Provide technical support to other ongoing projects when required
• Handle interfaces with internal disciplines and 3rd parties (including vendor)
• Participate in technical and design review workshops as per project requirements
• Training and development of engineers within the discipline
• Perform other duties as may be directed by the company.

Qualifications / Competence
Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
• 14 years of process design experience of oil and gas facilities
• Working knowledge of relevant international codes, standards, regulations and practices applicable to design and Broad knowledge of oil and gas facilities and project management
• Familiar with Clients’ standards such as Shell DEPs, ExxonMobil’s GP and/or Chevron’s CES
• Registered professional engineer.

Essential Skills:

• Significant team leadership experience
• Extensive experience in Conceptual, FEED, Detailed Design, and EPC projects
• Excellent ability in client handling
• Proficient in using Hysys, Flarenet, Pipesim
• Proficient in using of general computer programs such as MS Office Suite
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Excellent Problem Solving, Planning and organizing skills
• A high level of autonomy and self-efficiency with attention to details
• Result oriented and schedule driven.
