Job Title: Production Supervisor - Lubricant Blending

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

• Co-ordination of all Lubricant production activities: Blending, Packaging, Stock Control and Quality Control to ensure production processes and products meet the organization's established standards and also ensurethat production orders are met with minimum loss of time and materials.

Responsibilities

• Should have good knowledge of and should be able to supervise lubricant formulation.
• Should have a good knowledge of base oil and lubricant additives.
• Should have a good knowledge of laboratory analysis of lubricant oils.
• Planning and organizing lubricant production schedules.
• Installation/setup of sampling ports, equipments, apparati, testing materials and procedures.
• Set up of oil analysis testing requirements by machines.
• Determining quality control/assurance standards.
• Responsible for management of lubricant blending schedules, lubricant inventories, reorder points, and stock rotation.
• Oversees the performance specifications of all lubricants for each machine.
• Ensures lubricants are optimally selected with respect to cost, wear control, energy conservation, saftey, quality and environmental factors.
• Identify procedures for receiving inspection of incoming products (including lubricants) and non-complying conditions.
• Set up Quality Control Laboratory and develop its Operation Procedures and guidelines to meet government and industry regulations.
• Design the tests procedures for all tests to be carried out in the Control Laboratory in accordance with the required regulatory agencies: ASTM, DPR, SON, etc.
• Design and implement the blending procedures for the Plant.
• Products development according to the marketing unit’s requests.
• Manage and maintain the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods.
• Ensure availability of both raw materials and finished products.
• Ensures that products blended and packaged meet required specifications: OEM, SAE, API, DPR, SON, etc
• Design and implement the Packaging procedures for the Packaging processes.
• Monitor the quality of the packaging materials/processes to ensure that blended products are suitably packaged in appropriate container that meet customer requirements.
• Writes Non-Conformance Reports on internal and suppliers’ non conformities (including customer complaints) to proffer and enforce implementation of Corrective and Preventive actions for continual improvement.
• Manage and maintain the Company’s internal quality audit program and assess improvement initiatives resulting from all Quality Audits – internal and external.
• Report on timely basis to executive management on the performance of the quality system, any non-compliance issues and recommended actions.
• Ensure Environmental, Health and Safety goals are established and achieved.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Chemical Engineering.
• Master's is a plus.
• 5 years to 8 years experience working in the same capacity.
