We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head Human Resource Manager 

Location: Nigeria

Job Description

  • Provide strategic leadership in establishing and communicating appropriate human capital strategies, policies, procedures, initiatives and systems to ensure understanding and buy-in across the organisation.
  • Coordinate the implementation of an optimal Organisation structure to support the achievement of the Organisation’s goals and objectives
  • Oversee the planning and forecasting of the Organisation’s manning requirements, including the monitoring of the Organisation structure and manning levels
  • Oversee the development of strategies and polices, including a competitive compensation and benefits package, focused on hiring, developing, motivating and retaining the best talent (local and expatriates) in the Organisation.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with business and functional heads, and ensure the proactive identification and prompt response to their human capital needs to support their operations
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of need-based, cost-effective learning and development strategies to support the Organisation’s business goals and improve performance in line with overall strategic objectives
  • Provide direction and take responsibility for all matters concerning employment and employee contract issues within the Organisation to ensure that the Organisation’s liabilities are managed and that there is compliance with relevant laws
  • Ensure the formulation and implementation of effective performance, career management and succession planning strategies, consistent with the Organisation’s strategic objectives, to ensure the availability of high calibre replacement for key roles across the Organisation’s operations
  • Facilitate the development of change enablement strategies for the Organisation.
  • Act as a change agent on major project initiatives / HR interventions of the Organisation including culture alignment, by facilitating and ensuring proper planning and execution of programs to address the human side of change and add value to the Organisation.
  • Has direct responsibility for setting up an annual operational plan for Human Resources management and ensure that an operational budget is defined and approved in order to set targets and conditions for various planned and budgeted activities.
  • Monitors, controls and reports operational costs and performance results
  • Perform any other functions/duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Executives

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Master's Degree or BSc in relevant fields.
  • Proven track record in the effective leadership of staff – inspiring, motivating, managing performance and developing staff – to create a shared vision and execute programs successfully
  • Keen interpersonal skills and with success in team building and conflict resolution
  • High level of Organisational ability with strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple large projects
  • Expert communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong Organisational and people management skills.
  • Team building and conflict management skills
  • Strong media skills, comfortable with the spokesperson role, and capable of building and maintaining relationships with important third-party influencers
  • Experience managing agencies and consultants.
