Job Title: Senior Developer, Front End

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

• As a technology solutions Senior, you know what it takes to turn bold ideas into breakthrough solutions. By combining digital technologies with what works across the world’s leading businesses, you use agile approaches to help clients solve their toughest problems fast—the first time.
• Apply a variety of systematic, disciplined, and quantifiable approaches to the development, operation, and maintenance of software based on defined frameworks and methodologies with the purpose of improving reliability and maintainability
• Work with product owners to interpret feature and functionality requests and develop software in iterative design/build/test cycles using an Agile development process.
• Drawing on components from an open-source framework and other development tools and frameworks; build, test and deploy software components and solutions
• Regularly check code into a continuous integration pipeline based on appropriate methodology to incrementally build the overall system and get immediate feedback on build performance
• Proactively seeks and recommend improvement opportunities to internal team processes, frameworks and standards.
• Support the lead in defining solution architecture including database structures and entity relationships, technical use cases, develop a roadmap and release plan
• Proactively support the development team in the design, development, coding, testing and debugging/ troubleshooting of applications and set goals for the supervised team to ensure timely project delivery
• Keep up to date with the latest development software
• Provide guidance to the supervised team in all aspects of software development including code optimisation and troubleshooting and ensure they adhere to development standards
• Ensure proper documentation
• Perform other related tasks assigned by Verraki Technology Lead.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
• Membership of professional organizations/ associations and/or certifications will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 5 years post qualification relevant experience
• Previous experience in reputable software development and consulting company
• Demonstrable achievements in landmark projects
• Good task management and personal time management skills
• Strong code documentation skills
• Excellent project planning and management skills
• Excellent team management.

Skills / Competency Requirements:

• Deep expertise in various open-source frameworks and other development tools - Angular, React etc.
• Extensive experience developing solutions for the web across various operating systems, databases and platforms
• Deep expertise developing and deploying solutions in MS Azure Platform
• Experience with other various open-source frameworks and development tools – JavaScript, C/C++, DotNet, Java, Angular, React etc. is an advantage.
• Ability to bring ideas and design solutions to life through the system development process
• Ability to work independently and identify and solve problems effectively and efficiently
• Working knowledge of any/some of the following is an added advantage:
