The Media and Internal Communications Analyst will be responsible for overseeing communications to the media, including preparing articles, press kits, press releases, and other content initiatives as well as cultivating and managing relationships with media representatives.
The post holder must identify innovative ways to develop and promote NGX's image and mission as appropriate to stakeholders and create momentum and awareness as well as to test the effectiveness of communications activities.
The Media and Internal Communications Analyst will communicate NGX Exchange's policies and actions to the media community at large through appropriate mailing lists, publications, and other communication channels and tools as identified.
He/She will manage the development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral in the media as well as track and measure the level of media engagement while also developing and managing NGX Exchange's media outreach programme.
The post holder must Identify targets and evaluate opportunities for strengthening relationships between NGX Exchange and various media stakeholders, and also coordinate public affairs and communications activities internally within and between all operational functions; and externally with other organisations.
He/She will coordinate and organise NGX Exchange's events that engage the media and support bimonthly media meetings and other events, facilitate and coordinate Media Briefing sessions, develop and maintain the Media budget.
The post holder will write and tailor content for specific audiences that demonstrates a deep understanding of messaging, positioning and stakeholder needs as well as refining core messaging to ensure organisational consistency in all aspects of communication including development, organising and education.
He/she will publish timely company information, such as newsletters, podcasts, etc. Coordinate internal publications to be presented to employees and also manage the compilation and distribution of the internal staff newsletter, including writing and editing content, arranging photography, overseeing design while also using staff feedback to recommend and implement new initiatives to improve internal communications.

Work with manager and business units to determine event budget and manage expenses to that budget.
Promote products and services through public relations initiatives.
Develop marketing communications campaigns.

Research media coverage and industry trends.
Develop fresh story ideas.
Conduct extensive media outreach.
Prepare briefing materials.
Perform other Corporate Communications related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications & Skills
Education Requirements:
A B.Sc / HND with academic results in any related field.
Excellent Oral and written communication skills.
Proven leadership skills.
To successfully deliver the above goals, the right candidate must have:
Must have 2-5 years relevant post NYSC working experience in writing skills.
Customer service experience.
Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint are required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as editing skills are required.
All-around public relations expert with added marketing and administrative abilities.
