We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Security Guard

Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The ideal candidate would be responsible for protecting company property and staff, adhering to strict access control management and ensuring safe and secure environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
Security Operations:

• Security officer MUST be present at your duty post at all times ensure he does not leave his duty post to go on a personal errand while on duty.
• Security officer MUST ensure that the vehicular gate is not left open and unattended.
• Before letting visitor(s) into staff office, always call to notify and confirm from the respective staff.
• Always report noticed issues that can be detrimental to the company or oneself for appropriate actions.
• Coordinate weekly waste disposal.
• Always call Admin reps to notify them when the cars leave the office without their permission especially over the weekend.
• Proper record of any items (i.e. equipment, vehicles) going or coming into office. The guard on duty must record it inside the log book
• Conduct professional search of all production staff before they leave the office.
• Carry out periodic weeding in the office.
• You may be required to wash the vehicles of staff upon their request.
• Ensure all the doors are locked and switch off all appliances in his beat.
• To use fire extinguisher or firefighting system to put out the fire in case need.
• The security officer shall ensure closure of the exit doors and gate before closing from duty post.
• Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Observe and report in detail any suspicious incident or unusual occurrences to the operations department and fill in the report book.
• Screen visitors entering the premises as well as prevent intruders from entering or straying.
• Check the organization’s facilities and properties like doors, windows, heating/cooling system, vehicles to make sure they are secure.
• Assist in the Loading and offloading of goods/items in the vehicle in the office premises.
• Carry out any other duties assigned to you by the authority.
• Dress professionally in accordance to company’s dress code.

Power Generator Management:

• Operate the company’s power generating system like generator and change over switch efficiently and timely.
• Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques
• Observe and fill correctly the Generator Log book daily and submit to the operations department.
• Security officer MUST ensure that the diesel and petrol generator are switched on when required in a prompt manner.
• Check diesel level every morning and record it in the log book
• Always check diesel service timing and promptly notify any Admin reps when the time is near.
• Check diesel oil level before putting on the diesel generator.
• Check oil level in the small generator before putting it on
• Check fuel level before putting the small generator on.
