Job Title: Backend Developer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• You will be building the backend support for mobile payment applications, secure payment processing, merchant management system, and a host of other cool stuff.
• We use Scala and Linux to run our back-end payment services, and Android to run our mobile front-end.
• The position, which is available for immediate employment, gives you an opportunity to work on a scalable solution for a global market in a hot industry- you will learn constantly and co-create an innovative solution.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 3 years work experience.
• Agile software development: DevOps, Scrum, and similar lean methodologies.
• Writing clean code
• Expert skills in server-side technologies: Java/ Scala, Linux, scalable SQL database development, and back-end support for Android applications
• Previous experience building mobile payment and retail software is a big plus
• Knowledge of payment processing standards: PCI-DSS, EMV, ISO8583.
• Familiar with front-end web development- HTML, CSS, JS
• Enthusiastic about running software development and operations processes.
• Eternally curious and fast learning
• Works well in a team, but is self-motivated and can work independently.
• Good command of oral and written English language
