DCSL Corporate Services Limited - Our client, an Interior Design Company, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Business

Location: Lagos
Report to: The Head of Business will report directly to Executive Director and Managing Director.

Job Description

• The Head of Business will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Company’s operations to ensure excellent and profitable installation / maintenance of finishes according to clients’ specification.
• The role shall have a general responsibility to ensure operational standards are upheld and excellent service delivered to all clients of the business.
• Develop periodic strategic goals of the business, in line with the Group’s strategic focus
• Update and initiate policies, processes, and procedures in line with best practices and in support of the organisational strategy and direction.
• Drive achievement of corporate budgets.
• Set team goals and initiatives per installation project
• Report on the business’s achievement of strategic goals to executive management.
• Analyse projects performance statistics and trends in order to identify areas for improvement and develop improvement plans and initiatives.
• Maintain up-to-date information on industry trends and oversee the implementations and monitoring of all mechanical related operations at sites as per approved drawings and methods and safety rules.
• Ensure that key assets and equipment are installed, pre-commissioned, tested (if required), and commissioned in accordance with agreed contracts.
• Design the mechanical components of a building, including the air and plumbing systems within a building
• Handle all HVAC project– installing/planning the air conditioning systems of buildings.
• Provide operational direction for the business, ensuring that productivity and standards are met.
• Lead the day-to-day operational aspects of projects such as manpower planning, quality management control and cost control.
• Develop and drive adherence to standards and procedures that deliver excellence across all projects contact points of the business
• Guide the team in superior installation techniques and creative installation procedures.
• Ensure proper maintenance of installation equipment at all times
• Develop and ensure periodic update of the Company’s Operations Manual in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Report to:

• The Head of Business will report directly to Executive Director and Managing Director.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• COREN Certification.
• Postgraduate Degree in business will be an added advantage
• 12+ years cognate experience.
• Project Management and Leadership skills.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
• Excellent understanding of bathroom Installation & commissioning procedures.
• Safety engineering and Project management procedures.
• Working knowledge of budget and business financial management.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other engineering tools.
