Technical Assistant - Clinical Services at the Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi)

Job Title: Technical Assistant - Clinical Services

Job Description

• Will provide technical support to the assigned health facilities in the area of HIV/AIDS & TB prevention, treatment, care, and support services, maternal and newborn child health, diagnosis and treatment of HIV-TB coinfection, adherence counseling, and viral load monitoring according to the UNAIDS 95:95:95 direction in achieving epidemic control.
• Other duties are to increase HIV/AIDS/TB demand creation and ensure that project performance indicators are met, and impact is in line with the EPIC Surge implementation strategy.

Minimum Recruitment Standards

• MBBS with a minimum of 1-year post national youth service experience in clinical care or Registered Nurse/Midwife/BSc Nursing with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience.
• A sound understanding of HIV/AIDS, TB, and TB/HIV technical areas.

Minimum Recruitment Standards:

• Minimum of BMLS or AMLSCN in Medical Laboratory Science with at least 4 years of working experience in a PCR laboratory.
• Or MSc in applied biosciences with 5-7 years of working experience in a PCR laboratory.
• Certification or license to practice medical laboratory science is an advantage.
