Job Title: Production Lead

Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Production Lead is responsible for managing and directing production processes while ensuring optimum utilization of human and material resources to increase yields, quality and efficiency of production operations in adherence to standards.
• The production lead will manage dried fruit production operations.

Duties / Responsibilities
Responsibilities:

• Oversee production analysis, projection plans and process schedules
• Assess production processes, plans and resource requirements
• Create annual production budgets and time scale for financial planning and forecasts
• Ensure production is consistently within specification
• Manage and effective communication between the productions unit and other units
• Monitor productivity rates to improve processes efficiency
• Ensure unit processes/activities are cost-effective by vetting, negotiating and estimating costs to fit the company’s financial plans
• Oversee and ensure timely equipment sourcing, negotiation, maintenance and repairs to avoid downtimes
• Develop and implement SOPs and work instructions for all production section operations
• Implementation of occupational health and safety guidelines.
• Oversee and ensure accurate departmental data analysis, collation and documentation to ensure timely reports
• Coaching and overseeing/supervising section supervisors in planning and coordinating their processes/activities
• Work with the management and team leads to implement the company's policies and goals in the department
• Motivate the team to foster cordial relationships and great teamwork in achieving the company’s objectives
• Perform regular performance reviews of team members
• Mentor and train team on processes and personal improvement to build their skills in key areas
• Oversee continuous process improvement within the production sections

Educational Qualifications

• HND or Degree in Food Technology, Food / Chemical Engineering or any related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising a food/beverage production factory
• Proven knowledge of food production management and food safety policies
• Good understanding of GMPs and HSE practices.
