AMG Projects Limited is a seasoned Art Gallery with operations in Lagos-Nigeria, with a brick and mortar location in the heart of Lekki.

Job Title: Arts Gallery Assistant

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Objectives

• The incumbent Art Gallery Assistant will be required to provide administrative and creative services and customer service for an art gallery. In this job, your responsibilities shall include speaking with visitors, answering phone calls, coordinating events, working with gallery designers, and managing the gallery’s collection.
• Your duties may also include general administrative and assisting services, depending on the gallery and the particular exhibit.

Job Description

• Manage communication, monitor visitors (greet visitors, answer questions andfield sales inquiries), provide visitors with details about artists and specific paintings.
• Keep track of attendance in the gallery.
• Confirm arrival of new pieces for an exhibition; assist with setting up andbringing down exhibits.
• Ensure that the gallery is well maintained, safe, clean and that visitors follow the rules.
• Monitor and keeping artwork safe while the gallery is open.
• Knowledgeable about artists and exhibits and can remember names and faces.
• Maintain online social media accounts, promote current and upcoming exhibitions, assist with publicity for events, take photos for online usage.
• Responsible for mailing invitations.
• Re-order needed supplies, manage art orders, prepare sold artwork for shipment, follow up with customers to confirm the successful arrival and goodcondition of sold pieces.
• Be flexible and assist in the general operations of the Gallery.
• Maintain a friendly and welcoming environment for all visitors

Educational Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, Industrial Design, Archaeology, Theatre and Performing Arts, Mass Communication, History, Literature in English and any other related field.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience.
• Experience or interest in Arts, Photography and Social Media is an added advantage

Salary
N200,000 monthly
