We are seeking an individual that can support the day-to-day activities of our Product Management department.
You will be responsible for the team's product planning as well as managing the product throughout the Product Life Cycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, to deliver winning products
Responsibilities
Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch
Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams
Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI
Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire organization
Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
Be an expert with respect to the competition
Perform product demos to customers
Brief and train the customer success team on new features and releases
Act as the team lead within the company
Specification
BSc / HND in Computer Science or any First Degree with certifications from reputable institutions and associations in product management or software-related fields
3 years of proven work experience as a product manager
Product roadmap development
Knowledge of Agile Methodology
Knowledge of project management tools like JIRA
Market research, product strategy, UI/UX
Experience with product analytics beyond Google Analytics (Amplitude or Mix panel) is a plus
Ability to manage and participate in the Daily Scrum and Sprint Planning
Excellent communication, detail-oriented and analytical
Apt flexibility, diplomacy, persuasion, strong people skills
Highly innovative and look beyond what has been done already to come up with unique products
A deep understanding of the product vision, product launch, and other concepts is required
Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
The ability to lead teams and work with people, for instance, is extremely important because a big part of the role involves liaising with cross-functional teams on a daily basis.
