Job Description

• Ability to read, interpret, and build from designer drawings as assigned by Properties Master
• Familiarization with a large variety of building materials and construction techniques.
• Inform Properties Master of shop material needs in a timely fashion.
• Participate in props/scenic transfers to and from warehouses, theatres, and rehearsal halls as needed.
• Interpreting blueprints, schematics and architectural drafts
• Preparing budgets for materials and labor
• Creating models, illustrations or rough ideas for final products
• Selecting and assembling the proper tools and materials for a job
• Touch up, repair, and maintenance of items if Production Props employee is unable.
• Refurbishment and replacement of props from stock shows as directed by the Properties Master.
• Interpreting blueprints, schematics and architectural drafts
• Preparing budgets for materials and labor
• Creating models, illustrations or rough ideas for final products
• Selecting and assembling the proper tools and materials for a job
• Build or source stock items and mock-up for rehearsal if needed.
• Participation in all show load-ins and load-outs.
• Work in a safe, efficient, and organized manner.
• Any other tasks as requested by Properties Master or PM.
• Preparation of technical specifications, quotes/tenders, case studies, and proposals.
• Conducting market research to serve as a guide for effective processes.
• Prospect new opportunities, and foster good customer relationships for revenue growth and customer retention
• Writing and Submitting reports to line manager.
• Analyzing client requests, design proposals, and specifications to determine cost-effective solutions.
• Maintaining project schedules and project cost summaries to track work progress, budget status, and manpower resource utilization.
• Ensure appropriate Specification, Selection and Procurement of all materials/components to be used for all tasks within your scope.
• Technical report writing, design calculations, specifications, and drawings on projects.
• Determine budgets, timelines, and cost estimates for project design and execution.
• Ensuring that all standards, processes, and procedures are adhered to in conformance with Local, State, National, Company, and Client engineering standards
• Coordinating with the team to ensure cost-effective, safe, and timely completion of projects to meet or exceed client expectations.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / NCE / OND qualification with 2 - 4 years work experience.
