Job Title: Commercial and Partnership Associate

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

  • We are seeking for a Commercial & Partnerships Assoiate to add value to our commercial activities by conducting research, collecting and analyzing information and using the data to problem solve and improve decision-making and efficiency of a business.
  • You will keep abreast of market conditions and trends to provide insightful reports to the management team.
  • An excellent Commercial & Partnerships Associate has strong analytical and critical thinking skills and excellent problem solving and team-working skills.
  • The ideal candidate will also have good attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business / Commercial Development - Provide input for developing and implementing commercial strategies according to the company’s goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth.
  • Strategic Partnerships - Assist with relationship building activities and related meeting preparations and follow-up. Update internal working tools, including internal information/ knowledge management tools. Develop and maintain a database/ pipeline of opportunities for future development.
  • Business Development: Arrange business development meetings with prospective corporates and partners to sell MVX’s technology.
  • Market Research - Work with the team to conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans and feasibility studies on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.) as well as identify threats.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration - Collaborate with diverse teams within the organization to ensure status/ investor updates, proposals, reports, etc. are updated in a timely manner.
  • Business Planning & Intelligence (Metrics Monitoring and Reporting) – Monitor and analyze the performance of departmental and partner specific KPIs.
  • Strategy - Assist with business planning, strategy formulation and execution as well as supporting team lead with goal setting.
  • Growth and Technology - Support and coordinate with the technology and growth teams (Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Product etc.) to generate leads and drive tech adoption

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 4 - 5 years post-degree experience and knowledge of strategy formulation and planning techniques.
  • Commercial and strategic planning experience
  • Research, fact-checking and validation skills to ensure valid data sources and to verify accuracy
  • Ability to analyze data, using this data to recommend actions for internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking
  • Ambitious self-starter, with drive to make things happen independently and through collaboration
  • Good knowledge of business visualization tools such as PowerBI
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, and team-working skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Good interpersonal skills to build relationships with teams from other departments as well as external stakeholders / partners.
