We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

Job Title: Finance & Admin Officer

Ref No: FIN-002
Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • The incumbent reporting to the State Program Manager or designate and will manage the financial and administrative operations, monitor field expenses per individual grant and ensure compliance with U.S.G rules and regulation and other donor rules and regulation as applicable.
  • S/he support all financial activities associated with developing, managing and monitor sub awards and formal service level agreements including budgets according to CDC and other donor rules and regulation as applicable.
  • S/he will review and ensure implementation of appropriate systems and controls that provide for funds, resources and asset  accountability, complete documentation and accurate reporting.
  • S/he will collaborate with Central office team to implement corrective actions emanating from review of State office financial and administrative records and internal control systems. S/he will maintain an integrated financial system with up-to-date data from State office for consolidation of information and reporting per grant.
  • The jobholder will review and ensure implementation of appropriate systems and controls that provide for funds accountability, complete documentation and accurate reporting.
  • Manage all aspects of accounting and administration for State office including the direct supervision of Finance, Admin and Store personnel. Oversee purchases of office supplies, as well as general office operations and maintenance where necessary and ensure that the information in the fixed asset register accurately reflects the information per the financial system. Supervise the coordination of logistics, including transportation and lodging arrangements, for meetings, workshops, conferences, and short-term personnel’s.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability

  • University Degree in Accounting, Finance with membership and certification in professional association i.e. ICAN, ACCA and recognized equivalent is a requirement.
  • Five years Financial Management experience with at least 4 years of NGO experience in a similar position in a CDC/USAID funded project.
  • Working knowledge of USG rules and regulation including HSS grant policy, 45 CFR 75, A122 other donor regulations and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Tally 9 ERP accounting software for reporting purposes and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook and other computer-based applications.
