Job Title: Financial Analyst

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• We are looking to hire a vastly experienced financial analyst who will work in the capacity of a supervisor/consultant and will be principally responsible for financial planning, analysis, projections and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide financial models and projections
• Establish and evaluate profit plans
• Identify opportunities for performance and revenue improvement
• Keep abreast of new investment regulation policies
• Develop models that help with decision making
• Prepare monthly reports including financial performance, variance reporting and key operational metrics
• Spearhead budgeting and forecasting processes
• Guide the cost analysis process by establishing policies and procedures
• Analyze trends and recommend actions for optimization
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
• Preparation of relevant documents required for auditing and tax purposes
• Supervise daily accounting transactions
• Review monthly salaries with the HR department by ensuring there are no errors in entries
• Advising on income tax, deductions and allowances to be paid
• Preparing all related payroll accounting vouchers to ensure no errors occur in the payments of salaries

Requirements

• B.Sc in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• A masters degree/MBA will be an added advantage.
• At least 5 years experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance or other related fields.
• Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
• Advanced knowledge of excel and financial modeling.
• Must be honest and trustworthy.
