About the Role

• We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance engineer with experience on large-scale platforms. The ideal candidate would be a quality-oriented analytical thinker who is innately curious and pays attention to every detail. You should enjoy learning about new systems, processes, and technologies.
• As a Quality assurance engineer at Moni, you’ll be working with the product and engineering teams to design, execute and document test cases. You’ll be responsible for discovering bugs and tracking them through to resolution so end users get wholesome products that work as they’re supposed to.

• This is a full-time remote role based in Lagos, Nigeria

What You'll be Doing
You'll:

• Work closely with the Engineering and growth teams to create test plans.
• Code automated tests
• Perform manual and automated testing
• Execute systems to check for issues
• Document test cases
• Discover bugs within the software
• Analyze, record and track bugs and errors found during testing
• Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality
• Identify potential problems the users might encounter
• Perform and document risk analysis
• Streamline, innovate and regularly update testing tools and procedures in line with changing industry best practices
• Make recommendations for product improvements that would enhance user experience.

Required skills

• 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Demonstrate the ability to create, update and execute product test cases
• Can always find ways to “break” an app
• Ability to assess ascertain technical risks
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Are able to read, write and understand technical documentation
• Are able to test APIs using Postman or other relevant tools.

While this isn't a requirement, it'll be a plus if you have:

• Experience working at a Fintech or Fintech Startup focused on Mobile Money Services
• Familiarity in working in a fast paced agile environment
• 1+ years of experience as a Software Engineer building production-grade applications
• CSQA, ISTQB or other relevant certifications
• Experience setting up CI/CD Pipelines (Devops).
