Job Description
Activities:
Prepare crude oil stock movement for JV, Akpo and Egina streams on a monthly basis to be issued to government regulatory agencies and partners.
Prepare and circulate validated daily/weekly production reports to NNPC, NAPIMS, DPR & other required government agencies.
Organise quarterly and annual crude oil reconciliation exercises with concerned government agencies and partners while ensuring full review and validation of COMPANY's data.
Prepare statutory monthly and quarterly Crude Key Reports for CBN, NAPIMS, FIRS, Federal office of Statitics, FMITI, Nigerian Customs Service and DPR.
Issues monthly produciton/lifting report for OML 130 to NNPC, DPR, Nigeria Maritime Authority and Nigeria Ports PLC.
Assist with planning and organising of End of Year Fiscalisation exercises on all COMPANY Operated and Non operated terminals (9 terminals).
Assist in preparation for COMPANY's participation in the industry wide NEITI Audit Exercise; prepare data input on NEITI templates; liaise with internal entities: Audit/Finance/Tax. Participates in the exercise in collaboration with DPR, NNPC and Internal Audit.
Carry out any other duty as may be assigned by hierarchy.
Dimensions:
Prepare and ensure accurate company 's reporting obligations to Government Agencies/Regulatory bodies/Partners. (About 20 reports - compliance critical; Failure attracts govt penalty fines upto $20k/report)
Prepare company's crude accounting/Schedules of crude oil movements of up to 80MMbbls/annum and -2Billion USD of proceeds to be issued to Government regulatory bodies/Partners with key attention on likely government fiscal changes. (data integrity critical - failure impacts on company's integrity/government fines on COMPANY)
Coordinate and participate in quarterly/half yearly/yearly reconciliation exercises with government reps/ government regulatory bodies/Partners. ( review of up to 20MMbbls of oil movements and -500Million USD of revenue)
Maintain good working relationship with NNPC (COMD/NAPIMS), DPR, NEITI, FED MIN OF FINANCE, FIRS) to ensure data alignment with company.
Maintain continuous communication with internal entities (Finance, Audit, Field Ops) for update on operational activities relating to company crude accounting especially in the JV and AOBO terminals.
Context & Environment:
Job situated in Crude Oil Commercial Division, involving the accounting and reporting of crude oil movement activities of the company to government agencies / regulatory bodies, Partners, TOTSA and some internal entities in company.
Complex and changing regulatory environment with duplicity of agency requests. Job has direct impact on company data integrity issued to government and partners.
Close working with other internal entities: Finance, AOBO, Field Operations and Production. Requiring some transverse communication and knowledge of impact of data sources on data quality.
High pressure environment as delay or Failure to deliver on statutory reports and accounting schedules could attract heavy government penalties and fines.
Erroneous data / reports mean negative consequences to company / Partners public images and potential of revenue to company.
Purposes
Job created to support the delivery of company's statutory crude oil lifting and sales obligations which include entitlement reconciliation for all venture parties, accounting of oil stock variation, reporting of sale volumes, stocks and proceeds movements to Government Regulatory bodies / Partners, securing necessary sign offs and ensuring no penalties and legal challenges that may hamper continued operations.
Job Requirements
B.Sc in Business or Engineering with 3 years' experience in a numerate function.
A good understanding of the oil and gas business is required.
Ability to pay attention to details with good analytical mind, work in a team with capacity to multitask is essential.
An amicable personality and good human relations with peoples' skills required.
