Nextzon Business Services Limited - Our client, a licensed Commercial Bank with operations in the FCT, the South-South, the South West, and the North Eastern regions of the country, is recruiting qualified and efficient candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Banking Manager

Locations: Abuja (FCT), Calabar - Cross River, Warri - Delta, Benin - Edo, Lagos & Port Harcourt - Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties

  • Coordinating the branch sales goals and ensuring that the team of business bankers meets those goals
  • Gaining a thorough understanding of the client's requirements through the review and analysis of personal and business financial data gathered through relationship reviews and personal meetings.
  • Acquiring business prospects in the assigned territory in order to bring in new business customers, as well as to develop and collaborate with Centres of Influence in order to expand the customer base.
  • Increasing and maintaining relationships, as well as profiling new and existing commercial clients, to ensure cross-selling of deposits, credit, and other bank products.
  • Collaborating with other bank partners to identify sales opportunities among current and potential business customers.
  • Referring and identifying consumer product opportunities among business owners and referring them to other specialists in order to effectively capture them.
  • Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of the bank's products and services, as well as knowledge of competitors and competitive products.
  • Maintaining strong market knowledge, as well as developing, retaining, and expanding relationships with Centres of Influence
  • Acts as liaison between Business Credit Centre and prospect/client
  • Provides expertise on business credit issues to branch personnel
  • Negotiates terms, conditions, and pricing with customers to reach terms that will accommodate their needs and be acceptable and profitable to the bank.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a First Degree. A postgraduate qualification or relevant professional certification would be an advantage.
  • No less than 6 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
  • Candidates MUST be working currently in a commercial bank
  • Candidates currently handling the same role will be an added advantage
  • Candidates should also be familiar with basic accounting and financial analysis, as well as credit risk assessment and analysis.
  • Understanding of Cash Flow lending
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office software
  • Must fully embrace the bank’s strategic objective
  • Must be conscious of putting clients first.
  • Prioritizes and manages time to ensure that the minimum sales and contact management standards are met.
  • Relationship Building / Planning / Organizing / Closing Sales
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency required
  • Canadidates should be mission-driven, have a track record of solid performance, and are looking for an opportunity to make a tangible difference in a new environment.
