About the Job
Due to our current and continuous growth, we are looking for an Accounting professional who will be responsible for a number of accounting/finance functions and will be adding further value to our Nigerian Finance department.
Part of this role is also to facilitate the Company’s growth by scaling internal processes and focus on continuous optimization and automation.

Responsibilities
The Accounting and Finance Manager within his/her functions is expected to:
Daily transactions / reconciliations / settlements preparation and monitoring
Prepare daily reporting summaries and highlight irregular or unusual transactions
Maintaining invoices registry
Analysis of all settlement bank accounts to ascertain bank charges
Ensuring timely retrieval of all financial data required for reconciliations and settlements
Responsible for raising / reconciling payment of incoming invoices
Reconciliation with the payments systems and alternative payment methods
Assistance to client support unit on financial/settlements matters
Opportunity to work on new projects to be implemented
Other ad-hoc associated tasks as assigned by the CFO / Country Head
Preparing reports for regulatory bodies
Escalate variances and gaps noticed in data and information obtained to the relevant people
Establish and maintain relationships with the banks’ relationship managers
Participate in monthly financial close activities including performance report preparation for group entities
Provide monthly analysis of costs and keep proper records of these costs for management reporting purposes
File tax returns for group entities and track tax compliance obligations across entities.
Provide audit support for group entities
Carry out any other assigned tasks for the purpose of preparing monthly management accounts.
Requirements
Your experience and mindset:
Minimum of 6 years finance experience
University Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Analytics or related field
Accounting / Bookkeeping knowledge (ACCA partly qualified) or close to qualified
Strong preference for chartered accountants
Fluency in English (preferably)
Excellent analytical skills and strong experience working with numbers
Efficient/organized
Ability to multitask
Team player
Committed and with a good eye for detail
Ability to work with tight deadlines in terms of the project and regulatory reporting
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Detail-oriented and excel at spotting patterns/trends and irregularities
Analytical and thorough, can be relied on to work with accuracy and effectiveness
Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify cause and effect and communicate results in an effective and structured manner
Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team
