7Eleven Consultancy services is a company that runs a full HR services but in a consulting role. Such services are recruitment, organisation development, payroll management, training etc. We are recruiting on behalf of our client who runs an NGO with presence in 7 states in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Program Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise Program Officers in the management of various projects.
• Plan and coordinatehealth interventions ensuring adherence to company's standards
• Liaise with Ministries of Health, Education, Water resources and other stakeholders.
• Oversee the collection and timely reporting of data and statistics for all program in line with company's internal and donor guidelines.
• Provide technical supervision of, and technical support for company's health activities at state and local government levels.
• Develop expenditure and procurement plans to guide the implementation of approved activities/grants.
• Review budget vs actual expenditure on a monthly basis with staff and Executive Director identifying and proposing solutions to rectify any disparities from planned expenditure.
• Effectively prioritize tasks and project schedules, identify and track follow-up actions
• Develop and manage project work plans according to budget and timeline constraints.
• Manage and supervise state project officers and state coordinators.
• Set performance objectives for direct reports and routinely monitor their performance through regular evaluations.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationship with stakeholders and partners,
• Assist in policy development and identify issues and trends that may influence (impact) company's policy.

Education and Experience

• Master's Degree in Public Health, Biological Sciences, Education or Educational-related fields.
• 3-5 years’ experience in developmental work.
• Experience of working with a Non-Governmental Organization would be added advantage

Specific Requirements:

• Must possess excellent skills in program management, oversight, monitoring and evaluation of health and school programs, inter-personal and team work skills especially in multi-cultural settings.
• Experience in staff development and a strong team player.

Competencies:

• Proficiency with Microsoft office including excel
• Excellent Negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Ability to work in unstable security, harsh living and working environments.
• Conversant with basic data management tools; monitoring and evaluation skills.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 / month.
