Job Title: Senior Raw Material Sourcing Associate (Agro-Supply Chain)

Job Brief

• The Raw Material Sourcing Associate is responsible for the mapping out locations for sourcing of raw materials, aggregation and onboarding of raw materials’ suppliers (farmers and traders), evaluation of suppliers, monitoring and collation of field data from field agents to create purchase and logistics plans from farm to factory.
• The ideal candidate will also be responsible for supervising the company’s field/extension agents across board, analyzing of field data to generate reports for business decisions, recording & reporting on performance of suppliers & service providers, coordinating the aggregation & transporting of fruits, tools, agro-inputs and services within the supply chain process.

Responsibilities

• Assist Supply Chain Manager in developing strategies for agricultural raw materials’ (fruits), tools and agro-input sourcing
• Responsible for research and mapping out multiple geographical locations for fresh fruit aggregation within Nigeria and Africa
• Responsible for achieving the business KPI's and set targets through sourcing
• Negotiate and onboard raw materials suppliers and agro-input dealers through contract agreements that complies with company’s objectives
• Work closely with agronomist team to administrate the implementation of ReelFruit’s initiatives in fruit sourcing projects through collaborating with farmers, commercial traders and other organizations for the development of farmer
• Develop functionalities of the sourcing system in cooperation with service providers (farmers, traders and logistics companies/partners)
• Monitor suppliers and evaluate performance through assessment
• Monitor and supervise farm and field officers’ activities across all value chains
• Collate field data and analyze to generate reports for management decision
• Liaise with all internal stakeholders (warehouse & factory team) to forecast ordering cycle and budget raw material volumes & specifications
• Generate purchase orders for suppliers and accurately collate invoices to process payments
• Plan aggregation and logistics process to offtake fruits and manage field to factory traceability
• Track all orders, purchases and delivery logistics
• Manage field officer’s competence in data collation, analysis and reporting
• Carry out regular competence assessment for field officers to identify skill gaps and initiate upskill trainings
• Management and coordination of farmers/suppliers’ support scheme
• Based on departmental activity calendar, forecast and create activity budget
• Coordinate field visit schedules/activities
• Carry out field visits on regular basis
• Be involved in exchange and discussion with farmers & all suppliers
• Ensure that all purchases are done by following the financial plan, cash forecast/budgets
• Check the Purchase dossier before sending for validation to ensure they comply with company procurement procedures
• Manage interdepartmental and external communications
• Manage supply chain database/dashboards efficiently
• Update purchase/supply records and generate real-time reports on weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Agric Economics, Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, , Business Administration, Procurement management, or similar field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Raw Material Sourcing in food processing
• Proficient in all Microsoft office applications.
